چکیده
In this technical note, a consistent finite element formulation of the Hyperstatic Reaction Method (HRM) for tunnel linings design is proposed by introducing variational consistently linearized formulation. It permits to consider nonlinear interaction between lining structure and surrounding ground. Recent advances HRM in regard consideration response segmented exposed loads use an iterative algorithm solving system equations. Variationally (VHRM), distributed spring model representing ground soils considered variationally format. Computing tangential stiffness via linearization, using Newton-Raphson iteration, requires significantly smaller number iterations as compared original based on nodal springs. Furthermore, method applicable simulations solid elements (2D 3D), well beam or shell elements, respectively.

There are various methods for the analysis of the interactional behavior of the surrounding land, using the lining structure which is the most common method of deigning lining structure tools for the static loads by using the hyper static methods. In recent years, there has been a question that depicts whether this method provides the best results in designing the tunnel structure or not.Due to...

متن کاملA variationally consistent framework for the design of integrator and updates of generalized single step representations for structural dynamics
A variationally consistent framework leading to the concise design of both the ‘integrator’ and the associated ‘updates’ as related to the single step representations encompassing the so-called LMS methods for structural dynamics is described. The present paper shows for the rst time, a consistent treatment involving both the ‘integrator’ and ‘updates’ that are inherent in the general context o...
متن کاملEffect of Segmental Joint on Internal Forces in Tunnel Lining under Seismic Loading by Numerical Method
Although segmental tunnel linings are often used for seismic areas, the influence of segment joints on the segmental lining behavior under seismic loading has not been thoroughly considered in the literature. This paper presents the results of a numerical study investigating the effects of the rotational, axial, and radial joint stiffness of the longitudinal joints on the structural force...
